Yes, children are welcome in this fun Bacalar sailing tour, provided they're with their parents and guardians at all times. The Bacalar lagoon has a very gentle current and the depth is very low at certain points, making it almost pool-like in certain areas, which makes it very fun for children.

What should I bring to this tour?

To better enjoy the Bacalar Sailing Half-Day tour, make sure to bring: Comfortable clothes and a change, swimsuit, towel, hat & sunglasses, sun protection. Because Bacalar is a protected natural area, the use of sunscreen is prohibited, so please make sure to bring appropriate clothes to protect yourself from the sun if you're planning to get in the water.

Are alcoholic beverages included in this tour?

This tour includes beer and water, as well as freshly made guacamole and tortilla chips.

Will I be able to explore the Island of the Birds?

Like most areas in Bacalar, this island is protected, as it's the nesting spot of multiple migratory birds whose life cycle could easily be disturbed by exploring the island. Our sailboats will take you close to the island, though, and from there you'll be able to see multiple birds as they fly around the place.
