Bacalar Lagoon Excursion By Boat - From Costa Maya
Description
Get ready to enjoy the majestic Bacalar Lagoon, Lake of Seven Colors. Famous for its clear blue waters the Yucatan's largest lake is also full of rich local history. Discover why this area was frequented by pirates as you cruise to several top destinations in the lagoon.
You will depart from Costa Maya shortly after your cruise ship arrives and travel roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes to Laguna Bacalar. Here, you'll hop aboard a comfortable pontoon boat and get to explore several different cenotes, catch views of the old fort, and enjoy a relaxing swim for 30 minutes in the beautiful blue waters.
Don't settle for a crowded beach or only get to see a small part of Bacalar by kayak. Instead, cruise to the most important and scenic parts of this lagoon for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you're likely to not forget. On this Bacalar excursion, you will get to see the Black Cenote which is the deepest point in the lagoon, Cenote Cocalitos, and Cenote Esmeralda, where the 7 colors truly come to life.
Enjoy freshly prepared pineapple with our special seasoning and refresh with beers and other light snacks. After working up an appetite on the water, we'll take your custom order to enjoy real, authentic Mexican tacos. Made with fresh, hand-made tortillas and filled with fish, carne asada, or even the infamous cochinita pibil pork dish.
